Little Book of Monitor Lizards II

Thanks for pre-ordering this book and apologies for the lack of communication.

Release of this book is delayed until September 2006. If you don’t want to wait for the book you are of course entitled to an immediate refund. Please let me know if this is the case by email to this address BEFORE DECEMBER 31.

The main reasons are that the book will include as many rare island forms of monitor lizard as possible and many pictures of wild animals in their natural environment. Also the captive breeding sections are massively expanded with specialist input from many breeders.. Furthermore some very interesting revelations in the last few months warrant a brand new chapter. All of this has taken much longer than I had hoped.

The other reason for the delay is that we have been making some progress with our study of the giant fruit-eating monitor Varanus olivaceus in the Philippines. This work will be featured in the book and also appears in a documentary “Butaan – The Lost Dragon” that will be aired on Animal Planet in the near future.

I’m very sorry for the delay but I want to produce the best book possible. Thanks for your patience.

Daniel Bennett
