morning all.
just got 3 lovely leopards the other day, one of them is just starting to shed its skin by the look of it, went greyish and has broken up a little and seems to be coming off.
I dont have much experience with reptiles, is there anything I need to provide for them to help them on their way with it and are they alright to be disturbed during skin shedding?
lovely little things totally impressed and very beautiful! |

I provide a humid/damp hide for mine, which is just a marge tub/plastic tub with moss/vermiculite in with gets a slight mist every day to keep it moist.
90% of leos shed all in one go perfectly but sometimes they have trouble and I found the humid hide helped, after mine shed I always check their tail tip and toes for any remaining shed. _________________ MORE THAN 2! |

Add a humid hide to cooler end of the viv. I use an old ice cream tub with a hole cut into the side (use sand paper to get rid of any sharp edges). Fill it with damp sphagnum moss (from a garden centre) or damp kitchen paper. They should shed in one go and eat the skin. If they have any problems shedding, get back to us and we'll tell you how to help. _________________ Best wishes, Jackie
