right i just put an ad up for the first time today.
now ive already had an email enquiry but the broken english that is being used draws me to the fact i think its a scammer of some description.
who else advertises here and how many scammers do you get to every genuine interested person ?

ive advertised a few things and i havnt had any scammers reply to me. i suppose it might depend on the value of the things advertised

I just placed my ad the other day and recieved an e-mail that seemed pretty 'scammy'. Though it was an 'English name' the language used seemed like it was a foreign person writing it. They would 'love' to pay by 'UK cheque'. Just seemed pretty dodgy to me.

Had a few scammers, easy to tell when they are scamming usually by the syntax.

maybe wasnt a scammer but the english used wasnt very good .
im waiting on a reply and will see how i get on .
was just curious since ive never used the classifieds before

well after a couple of email back and forth i got this :

Go for it and waste their time, as you know its a big scam. The CHEQUE WILL BE A BENT ONE WHICH WIL TAKE A FEW MONTHS TO SHOW UP AS BEING BENT, BY THAT TIME YOU HAVE HANDED OVER THE EXCESS SHIPPING FEE TO THE AGENT BLAH BLAH. oops caps.  No refund to you from bank as cheque is dodgy.
Email them back and ask for them to bank a cheque for you for your project to save one legged nuns and build them a retirement home.

how did you know about my project to save the one legged nuns ?
thought that was private between me and mikea kiliwana and vicar jimboke minidaier . .
all i need to do is send them 5 k to release the funds for the poor orphans
