hi all just posting to see it its worth breeding mice like a 1.1 or a 1.2 setup for 6 snakes? plus i am in the progress of breeding my corn snakes so i will have a few babys to feed later this year i have breed them in the past and has saved me loads of cash but i will see how it goes because it is costng me about 4 pound every 5 days plus crickets for my other things so it all adds up eney way theres my pitch fire away! |

Yes it's worth it IMHO, for numerous reasons and not just finacially. You know the quality of your mice. For six snakes I would go with a 1.6 group.
You can always freeze down any surplus if they produce loads quickly for when they have a lull. _________________ www.ratsnakefoundation.org |

I would definitely go for it, starting up properly with rats myself for snakes now and once they get going it will give me rats that I know the quality of and will save me money at the same time
If your after mice types why not try multimammates(sp?) they breed like wildfire. _________________ MORE THAN 2! |

I would say its definitely worth if you got the time. You know what your feeding your reps is of a good quality.
I ran out of my own mice a few weeks back and had to buy some from a shop and ended up with some flat pathetic looking mice, which from the smell when defrosted weren't that fresh. |
