Surprise Surprise !
the vet said no to my request for a Gabby, he said
" i will only issue you one for a Gaboon if ? you have a separate room which is locked and alarmed to which only i have the key. I can not let you sleep in the same room as this species "
He was please with the Viv that the animal would of gone on to a 150 x 70 x 50 Herptek and all the other tool's etc that i have in place.
He then stated that because of my situation he was happy for me to think about any of the ' back-fanged ' species.
any body got any ideas? |

Hi mate,
Split this from the price by council thread so you would get more answers and so the other thread didn't sway way of topic _________________ Paul

Boomslang - just to annoy him
Boiga dendrophilia are stunning, but soon (apparently) to come of the DWA. _________________

Hehe, I was going to suggest Boomslang too
Rhabdophis are really nice looking snakes but lack the level of aggression to make them worth getting, and Malpolon (if you can get them) require a decent amount of space to move around and to also give you a fighting chance
I'm a bit puzzled as to why the guy won't grant you a license, most rear fanged are far more agile than the vipers and have a greater chance of escape. Is the guy ruling out all vipers? Personally I would forget your current set up and get Thrasops jacksoni or Thelotornis capensis oatesii (twig snake) just to 'wee' him off, but good luck if you get bitten by the twig.
