been watching my pair of geckos eat lately and found that some times they are skidding on the newspaper when they go for a cricket and instead of catching the cricket in their mouths they end up knocking them halfway across the Viv any one else found this? |

Can't see why newspaper would make them slide unless its glossy paper?
Try them on paper towel?
A lot of babies are just over excited feeders and will throw themselves at the movement. _________________ MORE THAN 2! |

Would recommend against calci sand, I found leos are a LOT more likely to eat it, washed play sand is the best I have found.
I switch mine over onto sand at about 12 months.
Just sounds like a typical baby then, 'Ooooh movement lets get it' then jumps after it, does yours do the tail shake before pouncing still?
Great when they do that _________________ MORE THAN 2! |

They nearly always do, I do have an adult female that still does it though, but she is still a hatchling in the head I think, screeches and gapes at you and bounces about
She is the only adult I have ever seen still do it though _________________ MORE THAN 2! |
