both are brilliant but I have only had the pleasure of dealing with winracks. I bought one of the 5 tier contico racks which can be extended to 10 boxes high.
Please be aware that they are much harder to keep warm purely by the heatmats than a wood melamine rack. a lot of people who have a lot of snakes will keep the room warm as well as the use of the mats.

On my wood racks and my winracks I use polystyrene to push the heatmat warmth up and works fine on wood rack and so far great on the winracks. will post how well the metal rack performs in winter in afew months in a room which is only heated part of the day(central heating)
I have adapted the winracks slightly because of the winter issue, but it would not be problem if the room was heated. PLease note In my opinion the problem of room ambient temp is common to all racks. but wood racks cope a lot better. must strees the winracks are brilliant I have only added wood shelf and the polystyrene because my room is only heated part of the day in winter and all metal racks will suffer the same in a unheated room. Only other advice for the contico rack is I think the 17x11 heatmat would be better long term than the 17x6 which I have got and have them coming out the end an inch or 2.
hope give food for thought.

I see you have vent holes in those tubs, did you have to put them in yourself? I would have assumed that racks of that price range would have built in ventillation?

hi gary
He did me a special deal on rack only and I provided my own tubs etc. so yes I used a solder iron for the holes.

If any one buys the contico rack and dont have a all year round heeated room I recomend you get the 17x11 instead of the 17x6 heatmats.

any news on the vision racks coming into this country yet??
