Looks good apart from the hot end 20 degree in the winter.
I dont thin k that their temps should go that low and i dont think your meant to 'cycle' them.
P.s If i have any of this wrong can someone please tell me right.

Best bet would be to start out with a pair or trio of young ackies and raise them up together, older animals can be harder to pair up and can be quite vicious towards each other.
Proexotics.com a have a good caresheet. |

Dont know wether you'd be better off with a spot rather than a ceramic, i was going to do the same thing but because they seem to enjoy the bright spot area, i was told to use a spot, so i have a 60w spot straight to a fitting, the top of the stack reaches 130-140 degrees ... I have a ceramic on a timer for night temps if it drops too low.
Works quite well ....
p.s. u can see it if u want on the thread 'Ackie viv now with added stack' on this thread. _________________ Cheers

I have kept ackies for three years and have bred them.
They are kept at the same temperature all the year round, I doubt whether they would wake up in the morning if the temperature was only 20 degrees. Where did you get that from?
Re heating, they need a spotlamp mimicking the sun, I would not use a ceramic. The spotlamp can be on a time switch to give a daylight period, with no heat at night. If your room gets cold say below 18C then you can use a ceramic to raise it to say 20C during the night. _________________ John
