my chameleon keeps rubbing his side and today i have noticed a red patch i have tried to wipe it thinking its blood but it hasnt actually come through the skin yet.
what could this be?
do locusts annoy him? would they nibble him?

without a photo I have no idea.

It would NOT be the locust, it could just be his 'colours'. Failing that could it be a burn? or a bruise?

If you bought it from a local dealer, then phone them and ask if you can bring it down to them to look at, if not a vet will be needed if you are still worried.
