Well, 4 weeks after the other egg from the same female hatched (stenodactylus) I decided to investigate...

For whatever reason, he's fully formed and just not hatched Sad
Thought you might like the pics though, interesting indeed!

I know it's sad, but I like to learn from every opportunity. His short life wasn't in vain, because now I have a little more knowledge about reptiles.

The adults are doing their best to make sure I'm overrun with the little ones though!

Very interesting images. I wonder why they aren't hatching though? I had the same problem with Gargoyles (babies going full term then failing to hatch). The problem was the incubation medium. I switched from vermiculite to perlite and haven't had any problems since. Are stenodactylus eggs hard shelled (they do look like it from the images)? I wonder if they are too calcified?
