Is a Nikon REFURBISHED D40 Silver + 18-55mm, any good as a entry level nikon camera, i want to take pics of animals though glass, and though mesh (like stu did and you can not see the mesh on the pic).

hi mate I would go for the d80 if you can stretch to it..also the 18-55mm isnt the greatest lens..as for shooting through mesh etc you can pretty much do that with any lens its just technique.
