|

How important is ventilation? Ive just built a vivarium for the first time and have added 241x165mm vents on each side of the viv, is this necessary? And if so, will this be enough? I have a feeling its going to effect the humidity alot.
Thanks, Manny |

The vents seem OK to me.
How big is the viv ?
The amount of humidity needed will depend on the species of gecko. _________________ People laugh at me because I am different

The Viv is 4x2x2 foot...do you think this is OK?
And I'm thinking it will be for leopard geckos, what kind of humidity do they like?
Do you think they would like a small breeze, maybe from a PC fan going round on half speed?
Thanks again, Manny |

Having that sized viv for a few leo's is IMHO a total waste of a decent sized viv. You have about 18in of wasted height and 24 in of length.
Viv humidity is as a normal room but they will need a humid hide.
WHY would you want to have a breeze ?????????????
By some of your extremely basic questions I am guessing that you need to get a decent book on leopard geckos BEFORE you buy any. _________________ People laugh at me because I am different

a 3 foot Viv would be big enough for 2 Leos maybe 3 in my opinion
but then I'm no expert _________________

It depends how many you get. an 18" square viv would be satisfactory for one.

Not fighting Peters battle, but he has MUCH more experience in reptiles than you so it's probably quite stupid to insult him...he probably has a fountain of information that could be useful to you that you have just lost. (not sucking up to him..)
