ok my lil cresty is havign trouble climbing and getting a grip on the plastic sides of the tub, it was fine yesterday could this be due to a possible shed coming up? Remember I am new at cresty keeping and this probably seems a stupid question to a lot of you! LOL. Also I think I am detecting a cloacal bulge at the mo, only seems slightly larger than a few weeks ago when checked so I am gonna guess its a boy! Well that means any friends who wanna buy me a b'day prezzy in MArch a nice fem cresty will be gratefully accepted!!

Join the rest of the line :p Ive had massive probs getting crested females. Ive got a few hatchlings atm though, so Im hoping at least one of them will be female, and ready to bred on with another male.

lol.....Pete, you'll have to do what I do, buy a bunch....grow then on....and sell off any males.

I have 75 growing on for breeders now, just hoping that I get at least 40 females.

As for losing grip, it's normally down to shedding.

Hiya Peter
It could be one of a few things.
Yep shedding is possible.
Or it couldve walked through its fruit - which could affect the stickiness on its toe pads - give them a dip in some water and a gentle wipe.
It could even be mbd, it came on over a period of 48 with one female I have. Make sure its getting plenty of its multivitamins and calcium. - Is it having difficulty with coordination at all? A couple of drops of liquid calcium put my female who was experiencing a calcium crash, back to normal. Generally juveniles and breeding females require a higher level of calcium. Let us know how it goes. Best of luck

I had it happen to one I had and have spoken to breeders who have seen it a few times the first sign was allways feet not sticking then the rest happend some over 2 weeks some over a couple of days

Ive also seen people with cresties that fit more and more often untill they die fits lasting longer and longer in all cases vets seem to have no real idea and suggest it may be something gentic if they say anything
