Royals are a little more 'picky' when it comes to feeding. So long as he eats and isn't losing weight you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Some eat every feed some eat every two weeks Wink

We have had no problems feeding with any of our collection, although some of them will only take white rats. If we put black in they just ignore them.
Only 2 of them do this and 1 will only eat mice.
If you try a couple of different prey items you may find its just a picky eater...

This is my personal experience but i find royals are a game of persistance, i have had 4 royals over the years, my first pair were older when i got them and would strike feed every time, my most recent pair have not been so smooth sailing. my female ate maybe 6 times in as many months where as my male eats all the time. i simply offer every sunday night, if they dont take off the tongs i leave the food item near the hide entrance over night if it is still there the next day i remove it and try the next week, eventually i find they figure it out and will feed for you regularly, i find all my snakes prefer food items bred by myself, i dont know if thats down to smell or quality of food item or a combination of both. my royals where previously fed on mice where as i prefer to feed rats, i think this also had to do with them been picky to start with. it can be frustrating but just stick to the same day each week and you should be fine.
