As people may know I have made a website on Freewebs recently with the name 'Scales & Tails', I have also got the HTML ready to make a 'Proper' website from it.

However, I have just been notified that there is already a Scales And Tails going (Even though I'm sure I did a search of it on google with nothing coming up~ Though there is a lot now), which is a bit of a set-back for me as I have a lot set up (Header, watermarking, website pages etc.) with Scales & Tails being used.

Anyway, to the point...I'm now going to try to think of a new name for the website, and just wondered if anyone had any ideas as I'm stuck! Embarassed If you don't want to say because you would like to use that for yourself in future then that's fine.

So basically, has anyone got any ideas for me to use as a Website Name?

Thanks,

Tom

The general rule is to keep it short and snappy but it's very hard to come up with something that hasn't already been taken.

I'm girly in my thinking but things like crestiecorner, cutecresties and such appeal to me. Or you could try and bring a famous local landmark into the name. I've used a play on words of a local paper for mine.

I realised where you got yours from! Laughing My parents liked that one!

I was just thinking with my dad and we came up with 'Cold Blooded Creatures', but a search on google bought up an American Website with that.

I'm trying not to include a specific type lizard in it in case I end up getting more lizards in future, that aren't Geckos...

Thanks for the help though! Smile

Finally, after a lot of thinking and rejected names, me and my dad (This name was his idea) came up with 'Lizards On Tyne'...Chosen due to the fact we're from near 'Newcastle Upon Tyne'.

Anyway, glad that's over with now! Took a while to create a new header and re-watermark all the pictures! Evil or Very Mad

I thought about that, and if I ever should (It wont be in my childhood, my grandma is terrified of them so I wouldn't be allowed them in the house), I will probably just make a new website (If I even wanted to make a website about them), as at that stage I will hopefuly have more money than I do now! Oh right got cha.
How did you go about getting a website?
I am interested.
How much does it cost etc.
Did you make the banners and watermarks yourself?
Paul

I downloaded a CSS Template first, which gives you the appearence of the website, and then you just need to change a little bit of the HTML and put in your own writing/pictures etc.

I've just paid for the hosting this morning and I'm now waiting for the domain to be registered (This comes with the hosting), and then I can put everything on.

I did do the watermarking and made the banners myself, but this wasn't hard, just used PhotoShop on the other computer for this.

If you need to know any more then just ask, lol...

P.s. Hether (Geordiegirl) helped me with all mine.
