Hi Patrik,
yep, you got it.

Am I right in thinking you have a few unusual monitors?

hello

you dont see many pics of Varanus flavescens out there,

hehe actually i dont have any monitors at all in my home right know, only 2 species of carpet python, have been dealing with various indo monitors like tree monitors and from the indicus complex and got really tired of shy and skittish wc animals so i sold everything i had to focus on aussie odatria instead,

cheers
Patrik

This flavescens is actually owned and kept in a European reptile park.

the Oz odatria are certainly more 'user' friendly and look good in displays too, I was lucky enough to pick up 2 more female glauerti last night (one of my favorite of the dwarf monitors).

ok nice, have never heard of anyone in europe keeping flavescens in their private collection, but i think there are some in the states.

yeah aussie odatria is a blast i have kept ackies a long time ago and they were much fun,yes glauerti is a very nice species indeed, have you had this problem that so many people are talking about that glauerti are very weak and that there is a high mortalityrate on glauerti under 6 months?

not had a single problem with the glauerti, to me them have been totally bullet proof. Out of 11 I bought, all have survived fine.

I keep hearing about this '6 month syndrome' but only know of ONE keeper that had some die, which to me doesn't make them weak or difficult, just unlucky for that person. Have you heard of others?
