Did you hear about the mystery disease killing cane toads in Townsville?
The boffins in Oz are preparing to introduce a virus specific to Cane toads to eradicate them, does this make anyone else feel a little worried that this might lead to more problems? Apparently they are testing it on all native wildlife first, but what about the species they haven't discovered?
Anyway I'm having a doom and gloom day, someone slashed open my soft top today, thinking of leaving a couple of taipan in the car in future, (if only I could get a stable temperature in it!)

Al that sound like a good idea...I know a few people who would do well to be introduced to a taipan _________________ Live for today as your dead for a long long time

With regards non-native creatures living well in the UK, I remember years ago a specific species of Scorpion living well in a location in Kent, although there has been quite some developement in that location recently, so I doubt they are doing so well now. _________________ 31August2008-Kent Reptile Show (Amphibians & Inverts welcome) for more information & Booking e:mail: mrac@sky.com |

There's a large colony of Podarcis living 5 minutes walk from my house, they're thriving very well. Always a pleasure to see them on a sunny day. |
