Herptek vivs are good although I think they are better suited for snakes than monitors. There not very high so really you can on only keep smallish to medium sized monitors that are mainly terrestrial species.
Although I hear there is going to be a big cage with more height in the pipeline.

The only draw back I find is if your bulb goes and you have them stacked several high it is a bit of a pain if its on your bottom cage because you need pull them out to get to the bottom cage and replace the bulb. I think one day I will get them on wheels, it will make it far easier.

I don't think they're good for any type of monitors... well maybe as raise-up cages. Any and all monitors I keep are on a minimum of 18 inches of dirt for the purpose of burrowing and/or keeping humidity up.
cheers

They're light and easy to clean, but the lip under the front runners drives me nuts! I know it has to be there, but I have having to stick my fingers into a small space to see if anything has hidden there - you know up to 30 baby leopard geckos can disappear under there?!

Well I'm not to bothered about height really ill be housing Kimberley rocks and and ackies in them and there more terrestrial than arboreal the only monitor that it might not be suited for is my WC mangrove but he is super skittish and don't really want him in a high Viv for that reason

anything else u guys can tell me about these Viv's :) ??

I keep lots of large constrictors in them and have around 60 of them.
I also keep Varanus prasinus and beccari in them, but I have specially converted 3 x 180cm Herpteks, one on top of the other.
I will take a snap at the weekend to show how this works. You basically end up with a 180cm x 150cm high plastic cage thats easy to clean and manage.

I'm housing a Savannah in one. If you're a little creative then you can make places for them to dig in these Viv's.

i think its a bad idea for housing kims in there since they r almost semi aboreal and whill climb if givven the chance like most monitors for young ackys i migth be ok but for addults i whould say not i know they r easy but also designed for snakes and not monitors so whouldnt do it but thats just me
