I was just wondering if there was a particular time of day when cresties lay their eggs? Like if they do it at day/night or if it's just whenever they want. My female has been with the male for almost 30 days now so if she is going to lay then it could be anytime soon and this morning I noticed her in the ivy plant all hidden, I have never seen her go in there before and so was just wondering if it's time.
When she decides to come out I will have a look in the pot soil. |

So far mine have always laid their eggs at night. Usually I see them digging in the nesting box for a couple of nights before they actually lay their eggs.
I've also noticed that when they are just practicing that they leave holes in the soil. When they actually lay their eggs they smooth the surface of the soil so it looks undisturbed. I don't know if this is normal but all 3 of my females do it. _________________
