Where's the best position for my thermostat sensor?. I've positioned it on a piece of bark under the spot light. I'm getting the exact temperature I want but I don't know if it's safe to position it there.... _________________

I place the sensor in the part of the viv I want to be the warmest and adjust the temps accordingly.
For example with my leopard geckos wanting a their warm hide to be 90F, the sensor is in the hide, ensuring that with a little initial calibration, the gecko is warm enough. _________________ Kind Regards,

I place my sensors in the middle of the viv (at floor level). I then set the thermostat for the mid range temp. It takes just a little bit of tweaking, but it ensures a good gradient throughout the viv.
Obviously, this is for snake warm to cool temp range, it would be different when setting up as a basking spot for lizards. _________________ 31August2008-Kent Reptile Show (Amphibians & Inverts welcome) for more information & Booking e:mail: mrac@sky.com |
