Looks good, well done. What sort of temperature readings do you get with the UV tube being in the tank? As mine is on top of the tank (exo terra) and up near the top it does tend to get quite hot. You might have to keep your eye on the temperature on hotter days but other than that it looks great.

Its looking much better but I'd suggest mounting the UV tube on top of the viv as having it inside without a light guard will increase the risk of the reptile burning itself.

cheers James

Right well I would recommend putting it on top of the viv as when it's been on a while it will get a bit hot. Here's how I do it.

You can buy reflectors for the tubes which send all of the light down which is good as it isn't in your eyes and I just sit this on top of the tank.

oh i see, well i was worried about it because i thought you should put the bulb on the metal but then it would get really hot.

i think i shall make a reflector out of card and tinfoil Smile

Yeah it's worth a try. Good luck with it. Another thing about having it in the viv is that I don't think the plug ends of the tubes are totally waterproof so with mistings at night you could encounter even more problems.
