... my first ever Crested Geckos, the first four legged addition to my collection - and my first post on the Rhacs forum
I bought these little guys from Scott at the BRAS show (thank you Scott - they are adorable!) and cant believe what great characters they are.
As it is a completely new species to me, I was a bit unsure when I got them home the first day, but following Scott's advice (the water dripping from a cup idea works really well) and all the other great info on this forum put my mind at rest.
So here they are, Thio first.... _________________ Connie |

... and Tiga...
I would be grateful if anyone could confirm for me what morphs they are! (still cant get my head around all these different colours! )
Many thanks _________________ Connie |

They are really cute! haha
well I really like the first one[thio], Its a dalmation from what I can see and looks rather red but this doesn't mean anything as often they change colour when they are older.
They second one[tiga] is I think a flame maybe harley partial pin stripe.
lol its a bit confusing.
nice geckos.

They look like great little gecko. I remember the first one because i was going to buy it but didnt have the money to spare at the time As for the morphs the first one looks like a red dalmatian and the second is a flame. They look very friendly too, taking food off your finger already _________________ 0.0.1 Rhacodactylus ciliatus (Crested Gecko) |

I personally can't tell the differences in patterns but can tell you when you've got nice Cresties - You've got nice Cresties!
Red one is stunning. _________________ A lil bit of Madagascar

nice cresties! the red dal is awesome, well nice colour when fired up. also the harlequin is nice too, not sure you can call it a flame as yet though, _________________ [3.2.6 R.Ciliatus|1.4.7 R.Auriculatus

Hi, thank you guys! Something tells me Thio seems to be your favorite (sorry Dan )
There seems to be quite a difference in body built too with Thio looking much stockier/fatter than Tiga - a sign of female/male I wonder?
Spending a lot of time with these guys at the moment, taking in all their amazing colour changes during the day (black spots, green spots, pale, fired up )
Still a bit puzzled about Tiga, he (she?) is generally much paler now then on the first day (see pic). Was concerned this might be due to stress but he's very alert, eating crickets & baby food like a trooper! Hoping its just a sign of him growing up
Here's some more pics... _________________ Connie |
