hi i was just wondering what you guys coat you Viv's in because i was gunna build 2 3x2x2 Viv mad out of wood with mash on top and the melamine will rot so what shall i coat it in

seal your viv with silicone, then use masonry paint aiden Very Happy how are yr new babies? no pics yet?

I use aquarium sealant for sealing the joins, and yacht varnish for the wood. Just make sure you seal/varnish either outside or in a well ventilated area, and leave it about a week before you add your cham. Wink

There isn't really anything you can put on melamine to seal it, and I've found it doesn't last too well in cham vivs.

why dont you make your vivs from plastic sheeting??? will last loads longer,easyer to clean,more light in the viv,100% water proof
