Ok, I built this the other day- needs planting etc (waiting on cuttings and trying to source dwarf broms).
Its a 12x12x12, same size as the smallest exo-terra. I had origionally thought more dart frogs, but told too small.
Would it be any good for dwarf chameleons? If so, do I need to make any modifications?
At present I have a vent 1/3rd of the lid, but thats it...
Also, what sort of damage on the wallet would a pair be??
Cheers

A captive bred pair (don't even bother with WC tbh, unless a last resort) would cost £40-70. WC can be as little as £20 a pair.
It looks great - the most important cham furnishing is twigs - lots of them! If possible add more ventilation, or add a miniature fan to the top, to give airflow.
Don't fill the whole thing with broms (1-2 maybe) as they're not particularly cham friendly. Pothos, ficus and inch-plant are all good.
Good luck, and have fun with them! _________________

Fantastic- just what I needed to hear.
Will forget the broms, have lots of inch cutting from my darts tanks. What about bamboo canes? Will also add a spare pc fan, have a temp controlled setup on darts etc, so will add this into the system.
Do you have any pics of your setups? |

Tom has covered it all Chris in my tank i have a layer of peat compost about 4 to 5 inches deep. There are some pics of my set ups on the cham threads somwhere if you have a scout through them. And as Tom says have fun with them, they are great little chams to keep _________________

Cool, Thanks 'KK'.
My only concern come to the substrate, I can only have it a max 2inches deep because of the door. Thing this will leed to a problem when they lay?
Will look at your posts now, then just to source a CB pair! |

You have a few options:
a) (The best option) - Buy a piece of glass to use as a 'dam' just inside of the doors to stop substrate falling out.
b) Mound up substrate toward the back - mine never lays near the front anyway - too secretive.
c) put in a nasty laying tub. (yuck!) _________________
