I thought it would be handy to keep records of breeding/hatching data for future reference and to help anyone who wishes to breed Boiga nigriceps.

I have taken a photo of a neonate and juvenile together to give you an idea of the growth rate. Plus I weighed them today too. So the data goes:-

Clutch 1
3 eggs incubated 110 days at 78-80f. 2 hatched on 17th Novemeber 2006, the other started pipping but didnt make it out and was dead when I opened the shell a day or 2 later.
Weight on 21st June 2007 17 grams. Currently eating 3 pinkies weekly, apart from when in shed.

Clutch 2
3 eggs incubated at 80ish f. Only 2 hatched following holes being made in the eggs around day 104 or 105 ( membrane left in tact and egs covered with damp moss). Hatched on 7th June after 107 days incubation. They have not sloughed yet, but are kept in high humidity to aid this and have not eaten yet.
Weight on 21st June 2007 5 grams.

So here's the photo of one from each clutch for comparison

and a photo of the neonates next to a pound coin to give an idea of size ( I will use some other internationally recognised object next time)

The mum is gravid again and in the blue at present, and checking out her nesting box. I can see the outlines of 3 more eggs quite clearly. I will keep her seperate from the males for a while to give her a chance to recover and feed her up.

I forgot to post about the mum having more eggs. We now have three good looking eggs in the incubator and I have separated mum to feed her up.
The new hatchlings are feeding much easier than the first lot did too, taking pinkies following their first slough.
