Cool Theme for the next competition is "insect macro" so thought I'd dust off the macro lens..went out and saw bugger all apart from the red bugs and a few pond skaters!..was hoping to see some dragonflies but never mind..all these were handheld,not ideal but couldn't position the tripod quick enough..lol

The pond skater is fantastic!

I saw a dragonfly on our hedge last week, but my photography skills are gash.

Try setting up a bug trap and then put them in the fridge for a bit set up ur shot and snap away with a slow one Laughing
