hey Aidan, guess its not a dumb question if you dont know the answer!! Very Happy

I fed all my snakes with the use of tongs, althou I have one that will generally only eat if you leave it on her log. Rolling Eyes

Maybe get the person your getting your snake off to show you how they're feeding it and try it with them before u take it home! Sure you'll be fine thou!

Very Happy

Aidan as mentioned above it will be a good idea to find out how the breeder/keeper is feeding it at present..some will happily take off the floor of the viv and others will only strike feed when teased with the food on tongs..and some just won't feed! Don't use your fingers though..lol

my snakes are weird the corn will just sit on your hand and eat she doesnt strike at all same with the brazilian rainbow boa, you have to hold her food really firmly in your hand and follow her head around before she takes it.

The royal python strikes and consricts I hold it by the tail I should use tongs really, and the amazon tree boa strikes and constricts as well but shes not as good an aim as the python so I hold it with tongs.
