Very true.. I brought just the body when I got my d200..although the 18-70mm I got with the d70 is a cracking piece of glass for a kit lens..gets some great reviews and I would recommend it to anyone getting a nikon kit.

Ive got a D40x and i think its fantastic. Does everything I need and more as an amateur photographer.

Its an excellent camera if your working on a budget. Its quite a big upgrade from the D40.
