I hope you are not planning on doing this?
It all depends if the parents were unrelated then it might not be a problem but it could cause deformed etc babies.
some people do this on the odd occasion but then out breed, they do this to sometimes enhance a trait.
There is no need to do this tho, as there are many unrelated yemens avaible.

Lets say you had a chameleon carrying a 'dodgy' gene that you knew nothing about - say he got it from his father, but his mother had good genetics and the 'good' gene from her masked/hid hid 'dodgy' one. It causes him no trouble because he has a 'good' gene to prevent the 'dodgy' one from doing harm.
If he was bred to his sister who also has the 'good' and 'dodgy' gene combination, some of the babies will hatch out with two 'dodgy' genes which would cause ill health or deformities or something - not good.
If he was bred to an unrelated chameleon the chances of two hidden 'dodgy' genes are much much lower and all the babies will be much stronger as a result.
If that makes sense, then you got it! |

Goes the same for any animal too. (people included - that's part of the reason incest is illegal) |
