Hi
After my previous post I was very warmly welcomed and so thanks for that (where were all the lovely ladies flocking to my Private message box?...oh well, no matter!)
I have been interested in herps for many years since collecting slow worms in a biscuit tin and frogs and toads from the local pond. I love going abroad where you can see them in the wild, particularly the geckos found in the evening in hot countries while your sipping a cocktail on the balcony...lovely.
Recently went to the Dom Rep (post elsewhere on here) which led me to being interested in the Cyclura genus. And so now two rhino igs from Juergen in Austria have been added to my collection of two green iguanas (rescues) and two leopard geckos (great pets for the kids).
Later on I will put a post up in the reptile conservation section about the work of the Iguana specialist Group and the IRCF. Through the latter people can go to the West Indies and Central America and volunteer to do research work on the endangered Iguanas of the area. (How cool is that? Makes me want to hand in my notice and go...but what of the kids? Hmmmmm!)
Here is a pic of my two new arrivals Hope you like!
Jon
