It can take a very long time (up to 3 hours) for a tortoise to dig out a suitable nest site, lay her eggs, then back fill/cover up the nesting area.
So to kill time, waiting to catch a photo of the event, I take some pics of any creatures in my back yard, comments welcome ...T.T.

Rickeezee, cheers, I have had a number of female torts lay their eggs this year, what is amazing is that they lay in the same spot, each year, and sometimes almost to the same day...
Stuart, cheers, last year there were dragonflys in abundance (it took me ages to get a decent shot of one), this year it seems to be the same with the blue damsonflys...T.T.  _________________
