Add some food for them to eat in the dish? They should wriggle and move slightly when eating, also keeps them gutloaded. Eg. a few bits of carrot or apple

You can get a vibrating dish lol, it suppose to make things more appealing or is it make dried ones look alive. Confused

I've always wondered about using it with a snake and popping a mouse on it lol Laughing

you can also keep them refrigerated until you use them which will make them more active than if kept at room temperature. it will also make them live longer.
