Hi
I'm an experienced keeper of non-venomous snakes and am interested in starting my "hot" career with Atheris ceratophora. Any advice on this species is much appreciated. Are they being bred in the UK, or do I have to buy WC? Should I wait and pick a pair up in Hamm?
thanks

All the Atheris are flimsy at best. They aren't incredibly long lived, and are fairly difficult to breed. Their husbandry takes some experience with other, hardier arboreals first.
All in all, a poor choice for a starter hot.
(I am not big on the "if its not too dangerous its a good beginner". Tagged is tagged ) _________________ ngiyakuthanda Sonvanger |

Hi
My snake experience is with chondros and emeralds. What species would you recommend as a starter "hot"?
thanks
