I fed Angel a pinkie on tuesday at around 5pm without any problems at all. I've just gone to clean out her tub and she just brought her pinkie back up minus the head.I did handle her this evening but 48 hours had well passed since i fed her.
Any ideas on why this happened? shouldn't she have digested it by now? My temps are correct according to my thermometers and my mat stat seems to be working ok.
Could it be down to stress seeing as i only got her tuesday morning?
Sorry if im asking a lot of questions , this is my first corn and im a little worried about her.
Also how long before i try feeding her again? shes due to be fed on saturday.
Thanks in advance for any insight you can give me. |

I wouldn't offer food again for a at least a week..Let her settle and have you got access to an infa red thermometer gun to check your temps are right?.. _________________

yes i've been using an infrared thermometer gun to make sure my temperatures are correct. I was told to drop my temperatures down at night to around 22 degrees celcius. Is that ok for a corn? or should i keep her temp at the hot end the same at all times?
Also will it be ok to handle her this week seeing as she's only been with me 2 days and has brought her pinkie back up or should i leave her till she has fed again and had time to digest her food properly? |

I wouldn't handle for a while, let it settle in and get a feed inside before you start to get her out.
You say you've only had her a couple of days and fed her 2 days ago..this may have stressed her and been the cause for the regurge although I often feed snakes as soon as I get them home and haven't had this problem.
How did you defrost the pinkie? _________________

i was told to defrost the pinkie at room temperature for around 30 mins, making sure the belly was soft before feeding it to her. |

At the moment she is in a microwavable tupperware tub with vent holes on all sides about 1cm between each hole. i only have about a quarter of the tub over the heat mat so i can get a warm and cold variant at each end ( hot end 85 and cool end 75 ).I'm using kitchen roll for her subtrate and have 2 hides for her ( 1 at each end ). I have a small plastic lid for her water bowl, she drinks from it just fine.
I'm using this set up because i heard they can get stressed being in a large enclosure as babies.
And yes i did get a thermostat ( habistat mat stat ) |

I would keep an eye on her and offer food again in a week or so time..as long as she isn't showing any other signs of illness etc I would not worry too much yet.Keep us posted on how she is doing. _________________
