Bought a pair of peacock monitors, once they settle in a bit i'll post up some piccys,they can certainly put away some pinks too!
Anyone else worked with these?

never kept them but apparently they are extremely shy and tend to stay that way, which is a shame as they are beautiful lizards.

Forgot to ask the guys name Embarassed
But his table was like in the center of the hall, I think those pairs of monitors were the only lizards he had for sale.

Well the peacocks are settling in nicely now although they still dart off when i enter the room, after a few mins there heads appear out of the stack and watch me.They are timid except for when you hold a pink in there tank then they just run at it with there mouths wide open grab it and shoot off, they certainly lose there shyness when you have food in your hand.This is the only photo out of 16 that was anygood.

personally I would keep them more aboreal mate cork tubes etc shelves high up if you want but they tend to be mainly aboreal but hey if it works for you fair enough

16 photos and that's ya best? lol....they remind me of when I first got the kimberlys!


My tristis were out tonight, I moved them up to the highest viv, since then they seem a lot more brave, not sure if it's because they are now looking down at me? (I'm being serious with that! Laughing )
