Just thought I'd post some photos of the more unusual and hard to come by lizards.
Mountain Horned Lizard.
Crested River Dragon
The next two Agamas aren't very unusual, but I like them.
Club Tailed Agama (Xenagama Batillifera)
Shield Tailed Agama (Xenagama Taylori)
If you have any picture of other unusual Lizards (or snakes) I'd like to see them. |

Love the Asian agamas, are you keeping them? if so how long you had them?
I use to keep the mountain horned agamas (15 odd years ago), mine would love worms and also would eat any lizard small enough!
good luck. _________________

Hi Scott,
I'm looking into getting these agamas, but preferably CB as I'm anti WC. I've been looking at Mountain horned lizards, but all I can find are the brown specimens. I know that there are different sub-species.
I've reserved a trio of Shield tails and a pair of Club tails from a breeder, once they have laid their eggs and put the weight back on, I'll pick them up. Plus I'll be able to sort out my funds whilst I wait for them.
Do the Mountain horneds make good display animals? Are they skittish? |

I only had the brown ones, they required it cool and moist. Didn't really make good displays as they didn't need to bask so therefore didn't come out of hiding much. _________________

A friend of mine keeps Mountain Horned dragons. She successfully bred them last year - the babies were green so I'm assuming it's the green species she keeps. My friend was really chuffed she bred them (it was her first reptile breeding success) so much so that she kept the babies. The eggs of these are beautiful - they have a snowflake pattern on them. _________________ Best wishes, Jackie

It would be nice to have the more unusual reptiles become more easily available to us breeders in the near future (I say us, but compared to most of the people on this, I'm a rookie).
It's my goal to breed the more unusual reptiles along with some of the more readily available reptiles, it's just getting the capital to start it up. |

That crested river dragon is absolutely stunning Whats the latin name for it, do you know? Looks related to Physignathus so. based on its head structure but I'm guessing its not classified under this genus? |
