Hesre is my stunning boy Monty (thanks Simon) now Monty during transport broke a horn bless him, so after he had time to settle, i decided to set about and fix him up, here are before and after pics, hopefully it will fuse back together, but if it doesnt it doesnt detract from his charm as he is stunning
And after i fixed him up

What did you wrap his horn up in? Looks like masking tape!
Does it hurt when they break their horns like that? And what are their horns made of ( i now stupid question but i know nothing about chams but want to), is it just protruding bone from their skulls?
p.s lovely cham btw!! |

Lovely looking animal and not a bad repair job you done there!
I would imagine those horns are elongated scales like what my vipers have. _________________ You can't trust the snake......but you can always trust the snake to be a snake. |

Thanks guys, he is rather splendid isnt he
I used micropore tape for his horn, and it could be just as trueviper says elongated scales, or a bit like finger nail, and no it didnt seem to bother him _________________

Horns and nails/claws/talons are made up of compressed hair. Its the same for all animals Rhinos, Eagles, Beardie claws and Cham horns. Even the nails on your fingers are made from hardened hair cells.
We all know that if you cut your nails they grow back, but not sure how your Cham's horn will heal. Hopefully it will heal with only a slight bulge or ring around the join of the two peices.
Good luck with the little guy. _________________ Beardies are the way!
