Just wondering what exotic mammal keepers visit here?
It's something I would love to go into but haven't the space at the moment. Possibly something like the small cats (maybe Servals?) _________________

I was always told that marmosets had a bit of a smell to them, cute little guys though. _________________

I got a chinchilla, they are considered as exotics. My other one died just after i got Snuk and was very sad! Now Dennis is all by himself and bored, but its own fault for bullying!
As for non-exotics, I have 2 fish, a cat and 2 rats (pets not food). Did have 2 ponies, but they were given away when I moved.
The animals moved in 2 by 2! The other half is dreading the day I want another snake! |

I have an egyptian long ear hedgehog(from jim collins) called dougle:-) thats abit different. Moody lil bugger that he is(dougle, not jim.lol) Even thou Im not really into breeding my animals, I would like to get him a mate, as baby hoggies..well go google for a photo.hehe.
When I get my own house(in about 3 years, fingers crossed) I would like to use the garden to maybe keep medium size mammals(got a few in mind,in no rush thou)
On the note of non-reptile animals, have 13 rats(incl 3 hairless rats) who took up as much space as a big cat would.lol:-) all non feeder, non breeder too. |

I'm currently looking after a couple of Sugar gliders, but they're 2 satanic little juvenile girls. Any noise I make sets them off and they start bark/squeaking. I would like to keep a hedgehog, but definately wouldn't get any Sugar gliders. At the moment I'm more into lizards than anything else. I get hours of entertainment from my Desert Horned Lizard trio. |

your armadillos have got to be one of the coolest mammals I have heard anyone keeping in the house...lol
Don't they try and dig into everything? I was told that they can bore through almost anything. _________________

armadillos are often known for there digging ability but three bandeds aren't such avid diggers they tend to root through rotten wood hunting termites and beetle grubs where most other speices dig into termite hills or forage for earth worms ,they have never really destroyed anything in the house except when the female gave birth the first time behind the tv she destroyed the carpet.
They usually go out side when they wake about 7.30pm for several hours in a 20ft by 5ft enclosure with a 2ft floor covering of forest bark there they can be dillos and do what dillos do root about for mealworms and waxmoth grubs they choose to sleep indoors especially now the weather is getting cold the male would often stay out doors all night and day in the summer months, how do i no they want to come in doors well beleave it or not when i go out about eleven to check them they both come running over to me they no i'm going to bring them in
