Please could somebody help - I have just come downstairs this morning to find that one of our corn snakes has laid eggs and I'm not sure what to do (as the pregnancy was not planned).

At the moment we have left the eggs in the tank as I'm not sure whether to disturb them, are they likely to hatch and how is the best way to look after them in the hope that they do.

Please Please Help.

If the eggs are fertile i would build a poly box incubator pretty sharpish
look at this thread for ideas on building one . http://www.captivebred.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8465&highlight=made+incubator .
make sure you put the eggs in the incubator as you found them as well .best thing to do is take a picture of the eggs so we can see if they look viable first

Hi Steve

I have attached a picture of the eggs - just moved them into a plastic box and put them on damp tissue. Husband is out for the day and my construction skills are not that good - can I keep them in the airing cupboard or near a warm cooker - or should I just go and see of I can find an open reptile shop.

Thanks

if you can keep them at around 85 f thats good for a start but dont let them dry out .i think you will be ok if you have them in the tub etc dont spray the eggs directly though just keep the humidity up until you can get an incubator sorted out

looking at these eggs i would say that theres a slim possiblity that there may be three fertile .was there any mating seen or are your snakes housed together ?

Snakes house together - new to this as they were bought as birthday presents for my kids - so never even thought about breeding (but am really excited now that it has happened).
