still undecided between the canon and the nikon both look great held a 300 on sunday liked the weight etc, so it all depends now on pricing i suppos as they seem to be much of a muchness overall!! As a decent starter DSLR what would u personally recommend??

In all honesty I would say the D70..personally find them more user friendly and with the release of the d70s and d200 lots of second hand ones going cheap..a boxed mint condition d70 can be had for under £400..The canon is a great cam but too small for me and just doesnt feel as substantial as the nikon. Both give great results though so down to personal choice.. Cool
