Topping up the pond in my dart frog tank yesterday I glanced underneath into the fbt tank, and noticed a drip.
Quick strip down of the tank, and I found the small crack I had sealed before, has spread the whole width and leaking like crazy. I got advice on how to remove the whole bottom and replace it, but all i've managed to do is cut my own hands!!!
Anyone replaced a panel before, or anyone that can help remove the floor?! Will pay in cash, beer, or praying mantids!!!

Normally for an all glass tank like mine was (I say was because i dont keep bumble bee frogs anymore) ther are usually just held together with sealant.
It was just a case of cutting the sealant away and the bottom panel was easily removed. Then just afix a new sheet in a similar way. I made sure that the sealant was none toxic first and after 24hrs of drying was good as new.
You may already have done the above but just thought it may help in some way! _________________ Beardies are the way!

Empty the tank and dry and clean the area around the crack. If the crack is not on or touching an edge have a piece of 5mm glass cut so that it covers the cracked area by a few inches or if you can afford it, covering the wholw bottom, put a bead of aquarium sealant totally around the crack about 1 in away and then do a few more 'rings' of sealant around the crack, do the last sealant ring on the glass cover and as near to the edge as possible. Place the glass over the sealant and press firmly down so that the sealant mashes down and spreads. Wet the edge of a spoon to smooth the excess sealant that escapes from under the glass. Leave for a MINIMUM of 24 hours .... 48 would be better.
opps ....... All of the repairs MUST be done on the INSIDE of the tank.
If the crack is under sealant along an edge you will have to strip the sealant off for at least 6-8 inches either side of the leaking earea to make sure that it is sealed properly.
If the crack is in a corner .... throw the aqaurium away and get a new one _________________ People laugh at me because I am different
