I have a 3 month old salvator monitor. I'm looking to build him a new Viv. Something that he can live in for the next year or so, before building him a full size setup.
Can anyone give me recommendations on size, hides, best substrate etc in large enclosures.
I have built a good few large Viv's now and fake rocks hide backdrops etc for our beardies, royal python and African pygmy dormice.
Any pictures of your enclosures would be great for inspiration. _________________ 1.1.0 Bearded Dragons - Girr and Lenore

We've just moved ours from a 4ft to a 6ft viv. We got him in August last year and he was the same size as your baby. He's grown a bit, but not too much. He was definitely ready for the move, though!
We are planning a garage conversion for his permanent home. _________________

Try using lino for your ground covering, its cheap easy to cut to size and very easy to clean, especially if your going to convert your garage!
Good luck with the build though it'd be great to see some pics! _________________ Beardies are the way!

Good tip-thanks! Still at the planning stage-we've a lot of junk to shift before any actual building gets done! _________________
