Just been to our local garden centre which has reptiles.
I've had a thing about western hognoses and they happened to have one, so like a daft bat I asked to get it out cos it was hiding..... It was only about 6" long and was totally gorgeous.
I love them because they look like grumpy old me....... all pouty and frowning, so much character.
Now I want it, and I really have to wait until our house renovations have been done.
PLUS Dan has seen a hatchling red tailed boa.......
I really should leave well alone and steer clear until I'm able to get one, but its soooooo hard to resist.

Just go and get him. He won't mind if you're doing up your house. You could put him somewhere quiet like in your bedroom. We have one of our snakes sharing our bedroom. At least snakes don't snore... _________________ 3 Royal Pythons - Byron, Bobby & Rosie

I have to agree with everyone else. I have two of last years hoggies, they still take up hardly any space at a year old. Go get him. You won`t need anything any bigger than a small contico for a fair while. It will make him feel secure enough to feed, and then by the time he is big enough for a decent sized viv, you will have done all your work on the house! _________________ YSBRYDOLI POBL, GWELLA LLEOEDD

If you ummmm and errrrr too long someone else will buy it, and then you will be really cross with yourself. Go for it, they are such wonderful snakes to own, I have a pair of them that I breed. And then.... you could get one of the opposite sex and try breeding them in a couple of years time.
Have fun. |
