Hi guys.
I have purchased some more Crix's yesterday, and set up my keeper with egg carton, Medi vet cricket diet (dry) and also an apple and some diced carrots and swede that we had left.
I have put a milk bottle top with water in for them. Should I dust the food with cricket dust or nitrabol too?
Cheers

Have you not kept them before?
The dry diet for the crickets is complete, the crickets will only need a moisture source, this can range from aqua gel to what you are using.
Dusting is done by myself and from what i can see most others twice a week, what are you keeping? _________________ Rob |

I feed my crickets on wheat bran and various green salad items. I never offer water as they get enough moisture from the daily salad. Micro crix and small crix I give added moisture to as they can dehydrate quite quickly when small, for this I use a soaked and then squeezed cotton wool ball placed into a plastic milk bottle top.
As for dusting your crickets all depends upon the herps requirements and the herps age. I only dust just before feeding the crickets off.
Everyone does things slightly differently. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk
