i've been looking into varanus acanthurus, hiting a bit of confusion about the habitat they come from. so far i've heard tropical, subtropical, arid and places i've seen them set-up all ways seem to go for desert.
how do people on here keep theres?

I keep my 2 in a "semi" arid enclosure.
They have 70;30 top soil/sand mix. Smile
This i find is very good for burrowing. I have 2 basking spots of around
125-130F. Cool
They seem fine the eat quite a bit. Shocked Laughing Rolling Eyes Twisted Evil

Well here is s pic.

Hoggies doing really well, can't believe how they feed, both taking two pinkies every 4 days - female even fed in shed!

I try to aim for semi arid as Acanthurus are found throughout the northern half of Australia living in trees, rocky outcrops, burrows and spinifex grass .
