Someone brought some Phyllium bioculatum to the PSG stand at the AES . There were threes tubs being given out apparently but as you may have guessed keiron they went quick .

You might consider the PSG Peter ?

Whatever you obtain from they you cannot sell , nor can you sell the offspring but it let's you get hold of some of the newer species .

But whatever you ahve bought you can sell . This is the way I work with phasmids .

Cheers Peter Very Happy

Oli i'm not surprised they went quickly, but it would be interesting to hear how those people that got some got on with them, i have heard they are extremely delicate, more so than the giganteum. i have even heard claims that it is best to start out with ova as the nymphs are very sensitive to being moved.

however if some cross my path one day i will snap them up as i think they are second to giganteum in terms of beauty

Fortunately I know one of the lucky people who got them so I may have to ' borrow ' some ova or nymphs at a later date .

As you do . Razz

I have already considered the PSG Oli. Sounds like a good move. I wasn`t planning on becoming a Phasmid dealer anyway so swapping ova/nymphs rather than buying and selling appeals to me.
Good luck with finding some P. bioculatum and hurry up and get those pics up !! Razz

Keiron, I can see your interest being re-kindled. Laughing

It is interesting how keepers of similar experience can have different levels of success with Phyllium.
A Friend and i bought some giganteum a while back, mine fed very well but never seem to grow, whereas his are now twice the size.
I suppose it probably comes down to factors such as ambient room temp/humidity and possibly the nutrients present in the food plant which is likely to vary to a certain extent even within the same spp i.e. bramble.
