I've got to be honest I'm completely baffled by this thread, unless there is a lot of things that are going on via Pm's and offline communications (phone calls) I've now lost track of why its arrived at the possibility of you losing your business over one thread on a Herp forum!!!
If it is over offline things could you please enlighten us so we can at least be informed???....otherwise it does seem like you're just having a totally disjointed rant and have lost the plot.
Sorry to be so blunt mate but don't think this is the place, if this place isn't the cause of it Sad

I can vouch that Dave has no problems with my business at all as per one of the posts that asked that question.

In fact Dave is not bothered by me at all and I mean that in a nice way.

I have deliberately stayed away from this thread and its content as I to sell roaches as most folk will know and I obviously would not wish for any interaction of mine on this thread to be inadvertently misconstrued due to any perceived potential conflicts of interest.

The world is big enough for everyone in my view and if one person wishes to sell roaches or a hundred people wish to sell roaches then thats all cool by me. I just want to infest the UK with Roaches Laughing

Rick, thank you very much for that post. I don`t give a fishes tit about your business & I mean that in a positive way. The world is certainly big enough for LEVEL HEADED people like us to compete. Glad you cleared that up because half a dozen people have hinted in my Emails that I chucked all me toys out through jealousy over your insect business (although I failed to see any connection or reason). I used to get a hell of a lot of customers on this site ( I had 8 cancel today & 11 y/day) but most of my business comes from a (believe it or not) U.S. site, although I sell only to U.K. & Ireland & another well know one NOT called Ebay.
TBH I looked at every angle when I set this up... market, costs, produced figures, progress & future... & I`d already accounted for competition with the roaches. It doesn`t take a brain surgeon to work out that if you sell breeding sized colonies of roaches... you`re creating breeders. It was a very handy "stepping stone" & I`m just over a year into plan "B" which was a captive breeding programme of scorpions, that would now be coming to fruition this summer to pick up as the roaches level off. C.I.T.E.S. is tabling a motion through parliament this year to curtail the catching & selling of MOST of the scorpions in the wild or rather banning the import of them into the U.K. but... back to the point:-
The whole business does seem a bit one sided to others though because as you know there have been other developements that others don`t know about & at this stage in the "game" with a VERY small G, others won`t hear about, until ALL the facts are known & I will constantly update if I have "news"... D.

Dave,

I've only just found this thread, and only had a quick look- I haven;t got time to read through it all. Like some of the others I'm not too sure what the f***'s going on here.

Anyway, as you know we have bought and sold roaches off one another a few times over the last couple of years or so, and I just wanted to say that I wish you well.

Cheers,
Mark.

Just to reiterate I have no axes to grind with anyone.

If I ever have an issue with anyone in life my style is face to face allways has been always will be. Then both parties know precisely where each other are coming from and things can be discussed directly. I have always stuck by this principle and have the bruises to prove it. Laughing

It was meant as "light hearted banter" in the situation & I hope Rick took it as such. To clear things up, I get on well with Rick & confronted him in his capacity as a moderator, not as a competitor. I knew he sold roaches too... BUT THAT WASN`T the issue, I still impart my knowledge on him if asks. To me it`s all about understanding the science better. not on whether I can wipe out the opposition... & if anyone was interested, I have to turn over £600 a week to break even. My food bill alone is £120 a week.
TBH I`ve leaned on Rick through this whole sordid business & if it wasn`t for him, I`d be a basket case in the local nut house. Which is hard to keep apart when you`re being PORTRAYED as a basket case that SHOULD be in the local nut house. I am, & will remain, on the closest of terms with Rick. I did "come to blows" with Pete Parrot ages ago & we got it in the open & sorted it over a couple of Pm`s. I will always listen to reason or what someone else has to say for that matter & draw, usually favourable conclusions... I am coming through what Blair has yet to face & it`s not pretty... D.

I know its a simplistic view, but it is nice if we can all get along in life, not allways easy and not always as simple as that. But trust me life is far to short for any aggravation. I know of what I speak. (I think Laughing ).

So Dave wanna buy some roaches off me Very Happy
