Marc, your right...there are some big girls on our side!
This girl exceeds the capacity of my scale and that maxes out at 4000 grams, that's a 140 gram baby pastel sitting on her.

She is a big girl, like the banding and the blushing going on with her. That little pastel is a lovely colour, and you can really get a perspective of the size of her with the little one there. Am I being daft or is she quite a short snake? _________________ www.draco2.co.uk

Do you guys find that the bigger females are better/more consistant breeders? Or do they tend to be more bi-yearly and need a season to recover? _________________

I don't think they need to be overly fat to reach that weight, so long as they have the age and length to match. _________________

exercising the posterior ( the back end ! ) of females is good for when they are laying eggs.......but if there not overly fat/sluggish then should be fine .....gentle exercise would do them no harm at all. _________________ 3.7.0 Royals

Nice big girl Alpha Dog.
Scott, we a few big girls and they are not consistent breeders, most only ovulate every other year or so.
Lynne, fat ball python females make for poor clutches, I don't let them get fat, like you say they are more muscly
It is important to note that most females have the potential to get BIG, if we let them reach that size
