They can jump and fly though, I just use lidded tubs large styl;e for my locusts and cut out tops anc cover in mesh for ventilation. _________________ www.rickslivefood.co.uk

I only use the younguns so never had any problems with them flying out. You are right they will just jump out . |

I use a smear of vas around the top of my locust, with adults also having a lid. Keep them hot and well fed and they very rarely choose to escape anyway. _________________

Hey Rick,
shame it didn't work, seems that lobsters are a bit special, thanks for the feedback though. I have used it with locusts, 3 species of cricket and Blaberus roaches with success. I guess it was worth a go. I like the tights idea.

I use tights with half the legs cut off for my locusts this gives me access and good ventilation, for my roaches i use vaseline and a lid dont want any escapees
