Paul, it has to be said there was a stage when you had "all the gear and no idea" but you have certainly produced some absolutely cracking photo's lately.
Not saying much coming from someone with my camera skills but all the same i'd be proud as punch if i were you!! _________________ TFA

i went out for quite a while yesterday but didn't manage to get any photos that are good. I really cant get the hang of this i don't know whether i need to invest in a tripod or just practice a lot more. When i look through my view finder the subjects appear in focus and when i see the pic displayed on the LCD screen they seem sharp but when i put them on my computer or view them on my TV they seem blurry and out of focus. its really frustrating  |

I would certainly invest in a tripod for macro work..the small apertures you need will mean that you will be using relatively low shutter speeds a lot of the time even on bright days.. _________________

don't buy the cheapest you see...you want a nice sturdy one.Yes some are heavy but if you have the dosh get a carbon fibre one... _________________
